Some jobs I would like to have:

4. Coffeeshop Owner (I have it all planned out. The name of the shop will be Mommy Needs Coffee and it will have tables with internet access in the front, yummy coffee and fruit juice smoothies and in the back, a big play room where staff will offer fun but messy kid activities such as finger painting or play-dough (Have you ever tried to get play-dough out of carpet? Probably you have and you agree that a kid-centered coffee shop is the perfect place for all future play-dough activity). Mothers can come in, let the kids play or participate in an activity while they work, surf the net or chat with other moms. We'll publish a zine and organize letter-writing campaigns to improve city facilities for families with children. We'll start a babysitting co-op so that moms can have some free time to pursue their interests. The play room could be rented for playdates or birthday parties. It could work. Right? Right???)

Some things I would like to buy

1. Furniture for either of the two (currently empty) living rooms in our new house, plus a couch to replace the Couch I Hate in the t.v. room
2. Yarn. My friend Deanna is going to teach me how to knit! I'm going to be one of the cool kids, freed from my able-to-dorky crochet-only status.
3. A grand piano

5. The recipe for Tuna Baton Rouge from the fish place in Fort Collins
6. A Jenn-Air dual-fuel range/oven to cook Tuna Baton Rouge from the fish place in Fort Collins
7. Land to build an indoor batting cage and baseball practice facility (I threw that one in for Jade. I can't say that I really want to buy this, but I want him to have it. Also, I would prefer it not to be in my backyard.)
   

Some things I should do every day, but don't

1. Eat vegetables
2. Brush my teeth (I know, gross)
3. Count my blessings
4. Live in the moment

Some things I'm going to do when I'm done writing this

1. Go outside and rake up the dead grass in the back yard
2. Kiss and hug my kids
3. Play baseball, basketball, football, pretty much any kind of ball I'm asked to play with the kids in the back yard after the kissin' and a-huggin'
4. Count my blessings
5. Live in the moment
